Application of a Sustainable National Curriculum and Monitoring Evaluation

SCOPI has demonstrated its commitment to the future of coffee plantations in Indonesia by providing training for Master Trainers to train farmers on how to practice the Good Agricultural Practices and Post Harvest, and implement sustainable coffee plantations. To maintain the quality and standard of procedures, SCOPI has carried out a monitoring evaluation by measuring the ability of the Master Trainer while providing training for farmers. Evaluation of monitoring is also used as a tool to measure the effectiveness of the national curriculum that has been made, how many farmers are effectively trained and how many of them have implemented it.

SCOPI conducts monitoring and reflection activities to see the impact and sustainability of curriculum implementation namely “National Sustainable Curriculum and Manual training for Robusta Coffee (NSC-R) and Arabica (NSC-A)”, which will continue to be improved to increase the capacity of Master Trainer. This program has been started since 2016, and in the second year of the program there are many interesting experiences and lessons that can be taken from the Master Trainer who together with their Partners directly or indirectly conduct training using this curriculum to train farmers and cadre farmers.

In addition, to measure the level of success and see the progress of its activities, SCOPI also uses monitoring tools through the “Theory of Change – TOC” method, where one measurement of its activities is focused on changing the behavior of each stakeholder at each level of results.
