Paramita Mentari Kesuma had more than 15 years of working and organizational experience as a professional in strategic programme management, stakeholders engagement, administrative & project management, and sustainable development issues across private sector, NGO and Government agencies.

Mentari had served as the Executive Assistant to the Chief of the Peatland Restoration Agency of the Republic of Indonesia/Badan Restorasi Gambut Republik Indonesia (BRG), as a consultant from CLUA/UNDP/UNOPS (2016-2019). BRG is a new ad-hoc Government agency established in 2016 by President Joko Widodo with a special mandate to coordinate & facilitate peat restoration efforts in 2.000.000 hectares of peatland in 7 priority provinces until 2020. Previously, she worked for WWF-Indonesia as the Corporate Engagement Officer, Deloitte Indonesia, Bank Indonesia (intern), and a volunteer at Rumah Sehat Garut and Koperasi Asgar Alam Sejahtera.

She won the “Miss Indonesia Earth- Water 2008” title, and worked with the Miss Indonesia Earth Foundation (2008-2009). She also had won the “None Favorite Jakarta Kepulauan Seribu 2005” title, and worked with the DKI Jakarta Province Tourism Office (2005-2010). Additionally, she was a host of “Jejak Petualang”, an eco-travel show of Trans7 TV.

She had a Master of Management in Applied Finance degree from BINUS Business School (Jakarta, Indonesia) and a double-degree on Bachelor of Commerce & Bachelor of Economics from Curtin University of Technology (Perth, Australia) and BINUS International University (Jakarta, Indonesia). She was also a full-scholarship recipient from Singapore International Foundation and Methodist Girls'​ Secondary School in Singapore.

Mentari is the recipient of BINUS Leadership Excellence Award 2011 from BINUS University and a LEAD Foundation Fellow on Green Economy in 2010. In her college & secondary time, she was elected by her peers as the Vice President of the BINUS University Student Committee  and the Social Secretary of the Junior Common Room Committee of the Nanyang Girls' Boarding School. In 2014, her first book titled "Menyingkap Cahaya Mentari", a motivational islamic book, was published by Rausyan Fikr Press.

Mentari enjoys spending time with her two kids, scubadiving, travelling, writing, painting and photography.
