On Thursday 10 June 2021, DISKO was held with the topic of Gender Roles in Coffee Agroforestry Practices. This DISKO activity was attended by 119 participants via Zoom and 64 participants via YouTube
At this DISKO, SCOPI collaborated with several of its members, namely Yayasan Inisiatif Dagang Hijau (YIDH) @idh_indo, Sucden Coffee, JDE, Classic Beans Cooperative, and PT. Nestlé Indonesia.
This DISKO presented the results of a study conducted by ICRAF regarding the role of gender in the practice of coffee cultivation based on an agroforestry system, the division of roles between male and female coffee farmers in Pagar Alam Regency, South Sumatra Province. Through this DISKO, it is hoped that participants can gain increased knowledge and insight regarding the importance of paying attention to gender roles in an effort to encourage sustainable coffee in Indonesia.
