Activity Description
Jakarta Coffee Week is one of the most-awaited events for coffee lovers and activists in Indonesia. This year's event will take place on November 11-13, 2022, which will be held at Pondok Indah Mall 3 (PIM 3). At this year's Jakarta Coffee Week (JaCoWeek), the activities that will be held include the Finals of the Tarung Tiga, Common Area, and Jacoweek Cup of The Year events. SCOPI again participated in Jacoweek 2022 activities by opening a stand which was the result of collaboration with SCOPI Members, Farmers, and Partners from various coffee producing regions in Indonesia.
A total of 13 farmers from 9 provinces in Indonesia are SCOPI's working areas, namely Lampung, Jambi, North Sumatra, Aceh, Palembang, South Sulawesi, Bali, and Papua. This activity is a form of support for assisted farmers to get information about what consumers want, as well as interact directly and are expected to form partnerships with visitors at the Jacoweek 2022 event and coffee buyers.
Another event that attracts visitors is Tarung Tiga, which is a follow-up event in the Final stage to find winners from participants who have fought in other cities, namely Medan, Bandung, and Surabaya. Then, there was the webinar "International Coffee Trends & Indonesia's Position", where SCOPI participated in the activity represented by Mr. Richard Atmadja as Chairman of the SCOPI Management Board.
The Jacoweek Cup of The Year 2022 is also one of the events that will encourage Jacoweek 2022 by collecting coffee samples from farmers throughout Indonesia-precisely from 12 provinces that will display various variations of appearance and flavors. With professional selection by roasters and graders, among others, assessing the appearance of green beans, water content, aroma, results after diroasting, and finally the results of tasting the taste of coffee. Furthermore, coffee selection by the public is the main target of sales. Moving Forward with Indonesian Coffee! #SustainableCoffee
