Musdhalifah Machmud was born in Ujung Pandang on September 13, 1964. She completed her undergraduate studies in Forestry Management at the Bogor Agricultural University in West Java. She then pursued a Master’s degree in Development Studies at the Bandung Institute of Technology, also in West Java. Subsequently, she earned a Doctorate in Business Management from the Bogor Agricultural University. Additionally, she has participated in various educational and training programs, including Capacity Building in Governance Economic Policy Coordination (2013), Negotiation, Conflict Resolution, and Meeting Management (2012), and a training on renewable energy in Tokyo (2006), among other training courses.
Before serving as the Expert Staff for Connectivity, Service Development, and Natural Resources at the Ministry of Economic Affairs since 2023, she held several positions, including Deputy for Food and Agribusiness Coordination at the Ministry of Economic Affairs (2015-2023), Assistant Deputy for Plantation and Horticulture at the Ministry of Economic Affairs (2013-2015), Assistant Deputy for Plantation and Horticulture Affairs at the Ministry of Economic Affairs (2009-2013), Head of Plantation Production and Distribution Division at the Ministry of Economic Affairs (2007-2009), Head of Agricultural Production Division at the Ministry of Economic Affairs (2006-2007), and Head of Forest Resources Utilization Division at the Ministry of Economic Affairs (2003-2006).
