Syahrudi began his career in agricultural development, showing a particular interest in smallholder farmers in Indonesia. He spent six years building partnerships with oil palm plantations and smallholder farmers. He then joined Nestlé Indonesia, focusing on programs that supported partnerships and the development of coffee farmers. In 2005, he moved to Nestlé Sri Lanka, where he concentrated on dairy development. He started working on developing dairy farming in East Java and served as Head of Milk Procurement & Dairy Development. Trusted as Head of Corporate Agriculture Services, he continued his passion not only for developing dairy farmers but also for supporting coffee, rice, and soybean farmers in Indonesia.
